Murder of America, Rape of America...

Get a grip! Those crying the murder of America weren't screaming anything while we were being legally and methodically raped! It's time for something new!

When it comes to Presidential elections or any election for that matter, the outcome isn't about the winners or losers, it's more about how voters, for either side, perceives which way life will personally change for them.

This writer isn't a political activist as a matter of fact, I don't like Politicians, I don't like politics PERIOD. I look at Politicians (for either side) like this: "you know they, the Politicians, are lying (yes, they all lie) because their mouths are open and their lips are moving" this in a nutshell is a Politician.

This new millennium we've had an historic and monumental election which, has invented two new past-times (for some) the right-wing wringing of the hands and the left-wing happy we're free dance. One says, this is the Murder of America the other says this is the Freeing Up of America. I believe you all are way off base and need to get your heads out of the sand. America won't die because Obama is President. You also, can't free-up what's already free.

It's Historic because President Obama is the first Black-American President, it's monumental because he's President in the most racist country in the world.

Oh please, just simmer down, shame the devil and tell the truth, you know this is true and yes, truth hurts.

Oh my! which side to choose. I choose the middle just as sure as the sun is hot! I refuse to wring my hands with impending doom and I refuse to do a happy dance because my feet and ankles hurt.

I find that most people who talk and talk and talk about Politics haven't a clue that not everyone who votes, votes far right or far left for political ideology sake. We vote with the thought "which is the lessor of two evils" Yes, I will step out on the not-s0-thoroughly frozen pond and say: the majority of American voters are "middies" or mid-liners". We vote with our pocketbooks. We vote for the person who we think might, just might not financially kill us yet, not necessarily subscribe to every aspect of the far right or far left ideologies.

In this time of America's tender age (America is still a very young country) a political change was needed. The last Administration raped and disemboweled the finances of the American people. Yes, they did! If you're honest with yourself, look deep and think, the top-ten-of-one-percent Good Ole Boys Network did indeed get away with rape! They did it legally and the middle to lower-middle class working people are the ones who suffered and can't sue!

My father, who's seventy-five years old, believed in the right-wing hype of working hard and did for four decades. He lived the American dream by saving in investments. He looked forward to retired life. Well, guess what, his investment portfolio is EMPTY! The Powers-that-be are scavenging his retirement, it's slowly dwindling away! Yet, people wonder why people like him are screaming "we need and demand a change!" Most of you don't realize, you've been hit too! Still you wring your hands because a Democrat is now in office or is it because that Democrat is a Black-American yes, I believe quite a bit of the hand-wringing is because he's Black. No one can or will convince me that racism and bigotry is dead because it isn't.

Personally, I had reservations about President Obama when he announced his candidacy. Why, well, I openly admit some underlying bigotry fostered my reaction. His name sounds to Muslim which, didn't set well with me. Is it bad to think that way, yes! Did I pay closer attention to his ideas because of it, yes! Is that a bigoted way to think, yes...sorry, I'm human and fallible.

He impressed me with his idea to work with the right. As a matter of fact there are quite a few Republicans who like President Obama------ Part of it is the eloquence and uplift of his speeches, combined with his personal grace and dignity. By all accounts, Obama is a well-grounded, decent, thoughtful man. He comes across, in his person and manner, as nonpartisan.

What won me completely over to Obamas side was when he announced that Senator Joe Biden would be his running mate. Why, because I've followed Vice-President Biden for years and I know that he's more down the middle than far left. I know he has experience and will work with the right. When Senator Biden became President Obama's running mate, I truly smiled, it was then I knew that most of the cuckoo left wing ideology would be kept in check and the right-wing rape and plunder would be squelched.

We all must sit back and give this new administration a chance.

Politicians: Please Take the Guccis Off!

No matter how hard politicians, political analysts or the media, try to make politics and campaigns confusing for us common folk, it still isn't rocket science. Political causes and effects aren't complicated calculus problems or a foreign trigonometry or algorithm language. Politics is a plain old attempt at manipulating the minds of the common folk and furthering the agendas of those with deep pockets.

This is how this undereducated pea-brainer, understands the political world; there are a bunch of folks running around in Gucci suits and Prada shoes, smiling for the cameras, kissing babies, shaking hands and hugging strangers, attempting to manipulate the gullible or make the not-so gullible choose between the lesser of two evils.

Then, there's the media and political opponents. They're piranha, pouncing on the candidates, or each other, like starving predators swimming around the Amazon. Each are pots calling the kettles black, all are obnoxious and just as guilty of the same offenses. How many of them wear silk underwear!

Look how John Edwards was proverbially, annihilated when he spent $400 on a haircut well... did anyone check to see where he bought his suit too. How is he different from the rest of the candidates? How about Barrack Obama, he isn't a shabby dresser either. I can guarantee, that neither he nor his wife buy their clothes from a discount store as do 70% - 80% of us Americans. Can anyone honestly, say that Hillary Clinton buys her shoes at PayLess or her suits at J.C. Pennys.

Look at all of the candidates; Joe Biden, Bill Richardson, Rudy Giuliani, Dennis Kucinich, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul, etc... Do you honestly, believe that any of these people has ever stepped foot in the Dollar Store, or KMart -- come on folks...shame the devil tell the truth!

What I do know; these candidates spend millions of dollars trying to get into our heads. Making promises they can't or won't keep. I DON'T LIKE THEM! I don't like the Republican trickle down theory -- no business owner is that generous. I don't like the Democrats, "let's give everyone our money theory" -- they can't seem to understand it takes taxes from the common people to take care of everybody. Neither party can get it into their heads to STOP sending our money overseas -- WE NEED OUR MONEY HERE!

President Bush STOP sending our Social Security money to Afghanistan!

I'm a conspiracy theorist, and believe that there is a group of people, in this nation, who are wealthy beyond imagination (I have a huge imagination) -- the top 10 of 1%. It is they who really run this country. Every other visible power-that-be is a puppet with an invisible mogul's hand up their butt. Can we say: "Electoral College"

I'm not pro or anti Bush nor pro or anti Democrat or Republican -- I don't like any of them. We, the people, should have learned from the 2000 election that our votes are like statistics, they can and will be manipulated. Can we say Electoral College AGAIN!

Oh and if Hilary Clinton or Michelle Obama get wind of this write. Please, call me, let's set a date to go shopping at Target, I need some clothes and you're buying.

STOP IT!-STOP IT!-STOP IT!

People, who know me, wonder why I don't like anything that walks upright and talks; I might as well add who writes too!

From MSNBC News this headline caught my attention: "Obama: Biracial candidate walks own fine line" (Subtitle) But presidential hopeful's post-racial style has its pitfalls. By Janny Scott

I'm not political but I do follow what's going on with the candidates. I try not to read the papers to much and I'm picky about the T.V news broadcasts I watch. I believe that the mass media is what turns people stomachs when reporting the news, not so much the headline grabbers but how the journalist writing/report about them.

The article I read, started out reporting about the 2006 Democratic primary campaign for presidency of the Cook County Board of Commissioners. Mind you, this is fast coming on 2008 and the Presidential election. Why is she bringing up a campaign, in Chicago, that most of us don't give a rats-ass about?

Did I ask why? Well, I'll tell you my thoughts. Ms. Scott wrote about Senator Obama riding the racial fence. In case you didn't know, Obama is black, yes indeed, he's of African decent and running for President of the United States. None of us politically, undereducated peons knew that fact.

My take on this article is that because Senator Obama is a Black-American who's hopped into the political arena. Some people believe that he's not playing hard enough ball with the race card. People please! Get over it!

--So Mr. Obama remained neutral. He was blasted in blogs and newspapers
for hedging rather than risk alienating people he needed, though others
said he had made the only shrewd choice.--

He's no different than any other candidate.

He's a Black American, he's biracial, so what! Now, you're wondering where's the chip on this shoulder?

Ms. Scott goes on further and writes;

"like other of his generation, he is a member of a new class of black politicians. Too young to have experienced segregation, he has thrived in white institutions. His style is more conciliatory than confrontational, more technocrat than preacher. Compared with many older politicians, he tends to speak about race indirectly or implicitly, when he speaks about it at all."

Oh well Ms Scott! Why is it necessary for Senator Obama to stand at a podium or any where else for that matter, and thump his chest like a mad grey-back who's had his territory invaded.
We know he's black, we're not blind. Senator Obama knows he's black, he's not blind. We know the history of Black Americans and Black America and so does Senator Obama. And most of us are literate too!

This is the way it is Ms Scott, Senator Obama is running for President of the United States, not President of Black America. He doesn't have to speak about his race, he lives it everyday. He knows the pit-falls and the tumultuous racial history of America.

Whether people like it or not, want to hear it or not; America is the most racist country in the world. Senator Obama knows that. He knows that White America is watching and waiting for him to spout diatribes on past racial injustices. This Senator is classy and eloquent. Class and eloquence aren't just a "white thang".

--‘Acting like he’s white’
Earlier
this fall, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, an Obama supporter who ran for
president twice, was quoted by a reporter as saying Mr. Obama “needs to
stop acting like he’s white” (words that Mr. Jackson has variously said
that he would never say and that were taken out of context).

He added, “If I were a candidate, I’d be all over Jena.”--

Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for Black Americans. I wish someone would put a sock in his mouth! Mr. Jackson can't hold a candle to Senator Obama.

I tire of people like Mr. Jackson accusing educated Blacks or Blacks who speak eloquently and articulatly of being or acting to "white" Stop hating start appreciating and put a muzzle on that green-eyed monster.

“A black candidate doesn’t want to look like he’s only a black
candidate,” the Rev. Al Sharpton, the civil rights activist, who ran
for president in 2004, said in an interview about Mr. Obama. “If he
overidentifies with Sharpton, he looks like he’s only a black
candidate. A white candidate reaches out to a Sharpton and looks like
they have the ability to reach out. It looks like they’re presidential.
That’s the dichotomy.”

I usually have nothing nice to say about Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, I hate Sharpton's hair by the way, but, I agree with Sharpton on this point. The American people always want to put a label on something or someone. As if that label will bolster something superior dwelling deep within.

The United States is a country of diversity. Presidential candidates must appeal and serve all their constituents.
